1. Crystal aging rate refers to the relationship between oscillator frequency and time, also known as long-term frequency stability, daily aging rate, long-term stability, etc. Its English name is Aging, long term stability. (Note: This frequency drift is caused by long-term changes in quartz crystals or/or other components in the circuit and can be expressed by relative changes in the average frequency within a specified time interval)

Frequency aging is inevitable. At the same time, the direction may be positive or negative.

2. Voltage control characteristics of crystal oscillator mainly include voltage range, polarity, linearity and input impedance of voltage control. When the control voltage changes, the output frequency, waveform characteristics and other electrical characteristics of the oscillator change.

1) Voltage range: The adjustable range of voltage used to regulate frequency. Common are 0-3.3V, 0.3-3.0V, 0-5V, 0.5-4.5V and so on.

2) Voltage control range: the range in which the frequency of the oscillator can change when the voltage control voltage changes in the voltage range.

3) Linearity: The relationship between ideal voltage-controlled voltage and frequency variations is linear, but there are always deviations in practice. This deviation is the voltage-controlled linearity that represents the ideal degree, usually expressed in percentage.

4) Polarity: When the frequency of the oscillator increases with the increase of voltage controlled voltage, the voltage controlled polarity is positive, and vice versa.

5) If the system can not give a stable voltage signal, or has strict control requirements on the output frequency, usually the oscillator can provide a precise voltage after stabilization for voltage control. This precise voltage is the reference voltage.

3. Crystal oscillator has sinusoidal and square wave output waveforms.

Square wave: rising edge time, falling edge time, duty cycle, high/low level

Sine: Load Capacity

IEC Standard Definition: The specific characteristics of the output waveform and waveform when the oscillator works.

Note: Common output waveforms and output characteristic indicators:

1) Sine: Harmonic attenuation, Noise attenuation, Load and Output level.

2) Square: It can be divided into two kinds of output: MOS and TTL.

3) Clipping Sine: Load, Output level.
